When you "click" to buy your copy of Thank God It's Friday, you will be directed to "blurb.com", a safe and secure website for online book shopping. The currency will display as USA dollars and will automatically convert to your home currency on your credit card, once you have completed the transation.
Why can't I buy a copy at the book store?
Blurb.com's digital publishing services allows for a print "on demand" process and they are happy to print and send 1 x copy directly to your home. This caters for people who want a "hard copy" in their hands to read without excessive wastage of trees, glue, bindings, time and electricity (good for the environment).
Why can't I buy an electronic version of the book?
These are early days for the book introduction and in the future we may release a version for the Kindle, iPad, Android and other e-book devices. No date has been set for this type of release.
What if someone does not have a credit card?
We will bring a copy(s) into the country for people who cannot buy online (upon receipt of a bank transfer into our account (before we place the order with Blurb)). The book(s) will be shipped directly to our address (Blurb only ship to the "purchaser (i.e. cannot send a "gift book" to a different address)). The book will then be posted locally to the buyer (by us) in a bubble envelope (to protect the book). An additional handling charge of NZ$5.00 per book will be required at time of the bank deposit to complete this type of transaction.
What are the other benefits of "on demand" printing?
Any feedback from our customers (printing, layout or spelling mistakes in the book) can be immediately fixed online. This means no wastage of existing shelf stock and ensures that the "next purchaser" of the book always receives the latest version/revision.
